From the big city, to the Shenandoah Valley - passion and purpose came.
Our story
After a lifetime of California living, our family packed up our dog, cat, gecko and came across the country to the Shenandoah Valley to find their new home at La Grange. Christa spent many years in the Education Technology field & working with NonProfits, but her roots were in Culinary Arts in the San Francisco area and later as a caterer in her hometown of Los Angeles, California. She and her husband run a small tech firm. Their youngest son, James, is an avid animal lover. Their older son, Jack and his fiancé Doriana, support the dream from Raleigh with many social media and marketing ideas.
A property with a story to tell.
La Grange Family Farm is comprised of the old McCleod House, the charming mid 1800 Bank Barn, the land that once again is a working farm and a host of animals who reside here. We love being part of the local Shenandoah Valley community and work hard to have regular events so that the local families can see what being on a farm is like. Our old smokehouse has been converted to a guest cottage. Our farm stand is open round the clock.

Our farm is proud to produce fresh produce, chicken and quail eggs, baked goodies, specialty soaps, beeswax candles, skin products, and whatever else we’ve been up to. These are all made in-house and hand-crafted with quality and care in mind.
We also sell local goods from other crafters and creators, who we are more than happy to support and showcase! You can stop by and find florals, children’s books, freeze dried candies, and MORE!
